Schools for climate action in the Alps
The focus of the conference is on school education in the fields of climate change mitigation and adaptation for youth aged five to nineteen. Emphasis is placed on formal and informal, indoor and outdoor formats, and the inputs will consider the specificity of the Alps.

Controversial railway tunnel between Turin and Lyon
In mid-June 2023, hundreds of people gathered in the French border town of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne to protest against the construction of a high-speed rail tunnel between Lyon and Turin. In a public statement, CIPRA France and Mountain Wilderness also criticised the project.

Experience the last of the glaciers
Recharge your batteries, go cycling, visit the glaciers: the Alpine Climate Camps project combines mountain sports with climate protection, further encouraging young climate activists. A bicycle tour in Austria at the beginning of September 2023 and other activities in Switzerland and Italy will draw attention to the disappearing glaciers.

ECCA 2023 - 6th European Climate Change Adaptation Conference
Europe’s influential climate adaptation conference, ECCA 2023, takes place from 19 to 21 June 2023, and will be held in Dublin, Ireland. The Joint Programme Initiative "Connecting Climate Knowledge for Europe" (JPI Climate), together with the MAGICA project, supported by the European Commission, is organizing this edition of ECCA. It will be an in-person event over two days for up to 500 people with live streaming of all plenary sessions and interactive hybrid formats.
